Hey everybody! With the deadline for pitchers & catchers to report to spring training just 26 days away, I thought now would be a great time to share with you a MLB-caliber running program. Realize that the following is just a sample and that we all have the ability to add and subtract from this based on our schedules, ability and fitness levels.
Monday: 7-second sprints (rest 15 seconds)
Tuesday: 15-second sprints (rest 30 seconds)
Wednesday: 30-second sprints (rest 90 seconds)
Thursday: PITCH GAME
Friday: 20-30 minute long run
Saturday: Agility drills (jump rope, ladder drills, cone drills, etc.)
Sunday: Off day
